These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the FCOPS Southern Counties Football League website at southerncounties.football and the registration and administration features it provides. By using the site you agree to these terms.

Who we are

The FCOPS Southern Counties Football League ("the League", "we", "us") is an unincorporated association that organises club football across Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and the Kentish Weald. You can contact us at league@southerncounties.football.

Using the site

You may use the site for the lawful purpose of taking part in, administering, or following the League. You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, disrupting the service, submitting false information, uploading harmful content, or using automated means to extract data without our permission.

Accounts

Some features require an account, for example club managers and League administrators. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity that takes place under your account. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or remove accounts that are misused or that breach these terms.

Player registration and eligibility

Players must be aged 18 or over to register. You must provide accurate and complete information, and you must have the right to share any information you provide about other people, such as an emergency contact. Eligibility to play is determined under the League's rules, and we may ask for supporting evidence. We may accept, decline or revoke a registration at our reasonable discretion in line with those rules. Submitting a registration does not guarantee acceptance.

Information you submit

You are responsible for the information and files you submit. You must not submit anything that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or is misleading. By submitting a photograph or other content for publication, you grant the League a non-exclusive licence to use it for the purpose of running and promoting the competition. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Published competition data

By registering, you understand that certain information, including your name, photograph, club, playing position, statistics and disciplinary record, will be published on the public website as part of the competition record. Please read the Privacy Policy for details.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or withdraw features at any time, and the site may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance.

Accuracy of information

We take care to keep competition information accurate, but we do not warrant that all content on the site is complete or up to date. Standings, statistics and valuations are provided for general information and may be revised as results are confirmed.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for any loss arising from your failure to follow these terms or the League's rules. The site is provided for the administration and following of an amateur and semi-professional football competition.

Links and third parties

The site relies on third-party services and may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version number and effective date are shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
