That's where FCOPS started. We built the thing we wished existed when we were running the club ourselves — so real clubs can spend their time on football, not admin.
We built it because we were them
A Sunday league club run by a chairman with a full-time job, two coaches with kids of their own, and a treasurer who still used a notebook from 2014. Player contacts in one Google Doc, match fees in Excel, availability in WhatsApp, injuries in someone's head.
There were other tools — big American systems with per-player pricing, enterprise software for professional academies, free apps that died after six months. Nothing was right for a club with 40 players, one pitch, and a committee that met in the pub. So we made something different: for the clubs that train on Tuesday nights and play on Sundays, where the volunteers matter as much as the players.
