This Cookie Policy explains how the FCOPS Southern Counties Football League uses cookies and similar technologies on southerncounties.football. For how we handle personal information more generally, see our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, can also store small amounts of information. They are used to make sites work, to remember your preferences, and to keep you signed in.

The cookies we use

We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. At present we only use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function.

Sign-in and session cookies: when you sign in to a manager or administrator account, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets first-party cookies that keep you securely signed in as you move between pages. These are essential, because without them you could not stay logged in, and they are removed when you sign out.

We also store one item in your browser's local storage.

Cookie preference: when you respond to our cookie banner, we save your choice in your browser's local storage under the name "scfl_consent_v1" so we do not ask you again. This stays in your browser until you clear it and is never sent to our servers.

Analytics and advertising

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The preference options shown in our cookie banner are there so that, if we introduce optional cookies in future, they will only be used with your consent.

Other third-party requests

To display the site's typefaces we use Google Fonts. When your browser loads a page it requests font files from Google, which may receive your IP address. This is not a cookie, but we mention it here for transparency. See our Privacy Policy for more about the providers we use.

Managing cookies

Because the only cookies we currently set are strictly necessary for the site to work, they cannot be turned off through the cookie banner. You can still control or delete cookies through your browser settings, but please note that blocking essential cookies will stop you being able to sign in.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if our use of cookies changes. The version number and effective date are shown at the top of this page.
